Talking to Mitra

It's just texting. Here's what works.

Small habits that make sessions land

Share what you're into

Mitra learns through your interests, not around them. K-pop, gaming, anime, sports, makeup, music, your favorite YouTuber — bring it up. She'll find the math, science, or writing in there. The more she knows about what you actually care about, the better she gets at making the work make sense.

i've been playing a lot of valorant lately
MitraNice — what role? And speaking of: when we hit probability next week I'm using crosshair placement statistics. Just warning you. 👀

Tell her when something works — or when it doesn't

If an explanation finally clicks, say so. If it's confusing, say that too. Mitra adjusts based on what's landing for you. "I don't get it" is more useful to her than pretending to understand. There's no judgment in either direction.

honestly the way you just explained that didnt help
MitraOkay, fair. Let me try a different angle — visual instead of verbal this time.

Send a photo of your homework

Don't retype the whole problem. Just snap a picture of the worksheet, textbook page, or your work in progress. Mitra can read it and meet you on the actual problem you're stuck on.

MitraGot it — I can see the problem. Which one are you stuck on, problem 3 or the chart at the bottom?

Ask the weird questions

"Why is zero even?" "Why are negatives a thing?" "What if we lived in 4D?" The questions that feel too dumb to ask in class are exactly the ones Mitra wants. Curiosity is the learning, not a side-effect of it.

this might be a dumb question but why does dividing by zero break math
MitraGenuinely one of the best questions you could ask. It's not dumb — mathematicians have been arguing about this for centuries. Want the short version or the rabbit hole?

It's okay to say you're not feeling it

Tired? Bad day? Just want to chat? You can tell Mitra. She won't push you into a session you don't have energy for. Some of the best sessions are the ones that start with "today's been rough."

i had a really long day i don't want to do math rn
MitraTotally fair. We can skip math today. Want to talk about something else, or come back tomorrow?

Come back when you want

There's no scheduled session. No "you missed a class." Mitra's there when you open the chat. 10 minutes between buses, an hour the night before a test, three days off and back again — whatever works for your week.
